DeciBio Analytics has launched three 2021 DxBooks databases, covering U.S. labs’ testing
behaviors in the areas of oncology biomarkers, infectious disease diagnostics, and SARS-CoV-2
testing. These databases, purchased in 2019 from the Emmes Group and formerly known as the
Emmes Databases, cover over a thousand hospital, reference, and public health labs.
Each database offers detailed quantitative and qualitative information about labs’ test
adoption, kits and platforms used, volumes, trends, and more. Historical data going back up to
five years offers further opportunity to track changes in the relevant markets over time.
Intuitive browser-accessible Tableau interfaces complement delivery of the raw data to
facilitate point-and-click custom data slicing and quick insights.
The flagship Infectious Disease DxBook includes 31 analytes (both single-target and panels),
1,000 U.S. labs, and has data available going back to 2016. The Oncology DxBook covers 26
oncology biomarkers across 300 institutions; historical data is available since 2017. Finally, the
SARS-CoV-2 DxBook, newly launched in 2020, offers twice-annual interviews at 400 U.S. labs,
covering diagnostic and serology testing practices as well as expectations for the future of the
